Living in The Gift.

What does it mean to live in The Gift? Since 2011, I have been sharing my work (play) in the spirit of the ‘gift economy’. This means I’ve rarely added fixed price tags or pay walls to my events, retreats, video content, podcasts and 1-1 sessions. I never want to turn anyone away and trust and rely on heart-to-heart financial support. I have no hidden sponsors, savings or use advertising on my sites.

Unlike today’s market system, whose built-in scarcity compels competition in which more for me is less for you, in a gift economy the opposite holds true. Because those in a gift culture pass on their surplus rather than accumulating it, your good fortune is my good fortune: more for you is more for me. We don’t break the giving chain. The ‘gift’ empowers us to claim back awareness of our gifts and talents and invites you, the experiencer, to value what you experience and give from a place of heartfelt trust. It moves us out of a culture of what can I get, to what can I give. It allows us to move from consumption to participation.
